January 24th, 2008 North Shore Grill now our 7th floor restaurant! The Franklin Square Inn is proud to welcome the official re-opening of our 7th Floor Restaurant under the name of The North Shore Grill. For many years, The North Shore Grill has been a local favorite restaurant located "across the water" on the Hancock side of the Portage Waterway. As of 2008, the full operation and menu of this great restaurant has been brought over to the 7th floor of the Franklin Square Inn in Houghton. The 7th floor restaurant under the name Spica was operated by the same owners, so we still have the same great team, but with an expanded menu and greater focus on this location. The North Shore Grill Menu + the 7th floor location and view = a winning combination! Come enjoy the new expanded hours, including new lunch service and now Sunday dinner. And, of course, great pub fare is still available at attached lounge, The Thirsty Fish Pub.
